Car Insurance is a very basic and simple service that has to be used by all road users for their own safety and that of others. In many provinces and countries, car insurance is made mandatory by law, so that if the car is involved in an accident, at least the financial loss to damaged property and human injury may be reimbursed. This is why car insurance is to be taken no matter how ‘safe’ a driver one is.
Some of the facts one needs to know about insurance is that it is a contract set up between the policyholder and the insurer. So it can be developed with the help of riders and benefits that especially suit the individual’s needs. If one fears that another driver may be involved in an accident with one’s car, the policy one signs up for can be designed in such a way that it includes accidental benefits coverage in which, irrespective of whose fault the accident is caused, the victim is still eligible for first aid and medical expenses reimbursement. This reduces the blow delivered by the accident.
While over insurance is construed as financial fraud, it is a deficiency to be under-insured. In the latter case, the coverage does not measure up to the liabilities faced and this makes the trauma of an accident and its consequences even harder to bear. The state specific minimum compulsory sum assured and compulsory charges have to be followed to avoid complication during claims.
